When you need it, you will realize what I mean when I say this the record function is a gift from heaven. Exporting a PDF of your note would result in cut off notes left and right, top and bottom.Notability is extremely intuitive in this regard as each page would print/export out to be your standard 8.5 x 11 paper. This is because when you make a note in OneNote, it is on an near-infinite canvas page with near-infinite zoom out/in.
OneNote would fail to even search sometimes, which would get very annoying Searching through my handwritten notes is a lot more smoother/successful on Notability. This is including all the snippets of audio that the app has recorded (more on this later). The funny thing is, Notability has more than 3 times the number of notes. Currently, OneNote is using 1.13 GB of my iPad storage, where Notability is using up 221.6 MB. Not only that, but the file sizes of each note in Notability are tiny when compared to the ones in OneNote. Notability is a much lighter program, as compared to OneNote which is significantly slower to start up and synchronize. OneNote has better organization, whereas Notability is too simplistic. Here are some things I can share from my personal experience: Right now, I'm using Notability and am nearing the second year mark with it.
